Information
Students from years 7 to 13 can take part in any water polo teams or experiences we can offer from year to year. In the past students in years 7 & 8 have attended AIMS Games and some senior students have had the opportunity to travel internationally alongside Liston College. If you are a keen water polo player or coach, please contact our sports department to see what we have available through our college or the neighbouring schools. The team experiences we can facilitate depend largely on the number of students wanting to participate and the assistance of adult volunteers. We would love to hear from you. → sports@stdoms.ac.nz

Anchor AIMS Games
About
Every year we work towards taking a group of year 7 & 8 students to the annual Anchor AIMS Games in Tauranga. This is an opportunity for young sports women to compete alongside some of the best sporting competitors nationally and internationally within the 23 different sports codes offered. Athletes can compete as individuals or as part of a team.
Who
The Anchor AIMS Games experience is open to year 7 & 8 students at the college. In 2022 we have a goal of taking a netball team and a football or hockey team. We also take individual athletes who qualify within their own sport. For more information on what is offered at the AIMS Games, use the following link, https://www.nzaimsgames.co.nz/.
When
The Anchor AIMS Games Sporting Championship is usually held in Week 7 of Term 2 . Unfortunately, for the past 2 years, it has had to be cancelled due to the effects of Covid 19 and Lockdown restrictions. We look forward to next year's aim to get us started again. The Sports Department is regularly updated on events and will notify our community through our network channels. You are also welcome to contact us.
