Senior Drama Production -
The End of the Golden Weather
Once again, our school production this year did not disappoint and brought a great end to the term. Our senior drama students showcased their fabulous talent and energy in the Bruce Mason play The End of the Golden Weather in two shows to proud crowds of parents, whānau and friends over two packed nights. Well done girls, Mrs Lambert, and all those who supported our students in putting on this fabulous production.
Set in the fictional North Shore Auckland suburb of Te Parenga during an idyllic summer holiday of 1932, Bruce Mason’s tale beautifully captures the friendship between 12 year old Geoff Stone and social outcast Tim aka Firpo.
Year 11 Drama students were assessed for; ‘Perform An Acting Role’, Year 11 Diploma, Year 12 Drama students NCEA AS91218: Perform a substantial acting role in a scripted production, Year 13 Drama students NCEA AS91517: 3.6 Perform a substantial acting role in a significant production.
