This is an incredible opportunity for a limited number of our Year 10 students to immerse themselves in our natural environment and take on new challenges, as well as gaining an appreciation for the diverse environment offered on our back doorstep in Aotearoa.
The course takes place during the last week of Term 3. It is a 6-day programme with the theme “Leadership, team building and community service”. Students take part in a range of activities based around the mountains, lakes, rivers and forests of the Central North Island Plateau including the Tongariro National Park. Activities may include; journeys and expeditions, canoeing, high and low rope course, mountaineering, orienteering, leadership and communication challenges and overnight camping.
